We are an Irish registered company that was established in 2008 by Stephen & Sinéad Clements. And that's where our company name BYSANDS comes from - BY Stephen AND Sinéad!

Stephen Clements

Stephen has spent over 25 years in engineering and technology roles across multinational organisations including Nortel Networks, Agilent, and Accenture. He holds a degree in Electronic Systems from the University of Ulster and a Master's in Technology and Innovation Management from DIT, Dublin. A lifelong systems thinker, he has always been driven by a curiosity to understand, build, and improve complex systems.

As his career evolved from engineer to leader, Stephen became Head of Product Development, leading multiple teams in the Digital TV sector. He later stepped into the role of Senior Manager of Business Operations, overseeing a technology division of over 700 people and €100M+ in revenue.

Along the way, his interest shifted from systems to the people who build them. This led him to discover coaching. Still a committed technologist, Stephen embraced the world of coaching, earning the ICF Ireland Coach of the Year award in 2020. He holds a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the International Coaching Federation and is a Senior Practitioner with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).

Today, alongside his work as an executive and leadership coach, Stephen delivers accredited coach training programmes and provides supervision and mentoring to fellow coaches.

Outside of work, Stephen is an avid distance runner. When he's not out running, he's likely to be found with his head in a book; most often on psychology, philosophy, phenomenology, or coaching; or making music on a tenor or soprano saxophone.

Sinéad Clements

Sinéad began her career in 1988 as a receptionist with HE Clissmann, an Irish manufacturing agent for Schering AG and Knoll AG. Within two years, she progressed into Pharmaceutical Demand Planning and Regulatory Affairs, eventually specialising in Demand Planning and wider Supply Chain functions, a field in which she would build a successful 30-year career.

A lifelong numbers enthusiast, Sinéad pursued a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics through distance learning with the Open University, graduating in 2010.

In 2007, following Bayer AG's acquisition of Schering AG, Sinéad joined Bayer Ireland Ltd. as Supply Chain Manager. Over the next 14 years, she led her team through significant transformation projects, including Brexit planning, SAP upgrades, third-party logistics transitions, acquisitions and divestments, and pandemic-related business continuity.

When her department's functions were centralised as part of a global restructure, Sinéad stepped away from the corporate world in 2021. Today, she focuses on the administration and finance operations of Bysands Limited, the business she co-founded with Stephen in 2008.

Outside of work, Sinéad is a passionate skier and qualified Level 2 Ski Instructor with the Irish Association of Snowsports Instructors (IASI). She has volunteered with the Ski Club of Ireland since 2005, and in 2024 took on the role of mentoring aspiring instructors as part of Ski Club of Ireland's IASI Level 1 Instructor Transition Year Programme. She also serves as Membership Administrator for IASI, supporting over 750 members worldwide by managing certification and licensing processes.
